The Citizen Informer is both a political satire and an exploration of the technical possibilities of generative AI for artistic purposes. Influenced by contemporary developments in the presentation and consumption of news, it presents a fictional Citizen Informer programme, intended to simulate political information without ever actually saying anything at all.

Working from the real speeches of real figures, a multi-layered resynthezing process is applied, first deconstructing the speech and then rebuilding it into something natural-sounding that is devoid of any meaning.

This is complemented by AI-Generated muzak and pseudo-personalities. The installation is realized in Ambisonics.
